Rules & Regulations

These Rules & Regulations apply to all participants, event organizers, guests, and spectators involved in any Pop-Up Sports activity, rental, or event. Participation in any Pop-Up Sports activity constitutes acceptance of these Rules & Regulations in addition to the signed Waiver and Release Form.

1. General Participation Requirements

  • All participants must have a signed waiver on file prior to participation.
  • Participants under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver.
  • Participants must follow all posted signage and all verbal instructions from Pop-Up Sports staff.
  • Only authorized participants may enter enclosed or designated activity areas.
  • Spectators must remain outside designated hitting or shooting zones.
  • Pop-Up Sports reserves the right to deny or revoke participation at its sole discretion.

2. Safety & Conduct

For the safety of all participants, the following rules strictly apply.

Participants must:

  • Maintain full awareness of surroundings at all times
  • Ensure the hitting/shooting area is clear before swinging or shooting
  • Keep safe distance from active participants
  • Use equipment only for its intended purpose
  • Immediately stop play if instructed by staff

Participants must not:

  • Engage in reckless behavior or horseplay
  • Swing bats or clubs outside designated hitting zones
  • Throw balls or pucks outside designated areas
  • Climb, hang, or apply body weight to inflatable structures
  • Tamper with generators, electrical equipment, or tracking systems

Failure to follow safety rules may result in immediate removal without refund.

3. Equipment Use

Pop-Up Sports provides specialized sports equipment including but not limited to:

  • Golf simulators
  • Baseball/softball hitting systems
  • Batting cages
  • Hockey shooting equipment
  • Inflatable sports enclosures
  • Ball tracking technology
  • Generators and power equipment

Equipment may only be used under staff supervision or as directed. Participants are financially responsible for damage caused by misuse, negligence, failure to follow instructions, or intentional damage. Replacement and repair costs may be invoiced to the participant or event organizer.

4. Event Organizer Responsibilities

For private rentals or hosted events, the Event Organizer agrees to:

  • Provide a safe and level setup area
  • Ensure adequate space clearance as outlined in booking agreement
  • Restrict unauthorized access to equipment
  • Monitor participant behavior
  • Ensure minors are supervised
  • Provide weather contingency planning when required

Pop-Up Sports reserves the right to delay, pause, or cancel operation if site conditions are deemed unsafe.

5. Outdoor & Weather Conditions

Many Pop-Up Sports events occur outdoors or at temporary venues. Activities may be suspended or cancelled due to rain, high winds, lightning, severe weather warnings, unsafe ground conditions, or excessive heat. Inflatable structures and electronic equipment cannot operate in unsafe weather conditions. If weather causes early shutdown, refund or credit decisions will follow the terms outlined in the booking agreement.

6. Alcohol & Substance Policy

If alcohol is present at an event, Pop-Up Sports does not provide or supervise alcohol service unless contracted separately. Intoxicated individuals may not participate, and staff may refuse participation to anyone appearing impaired. Pop-Up Sports assumes no responsibility for incidents related to alcohol or substance use.

7. Medical Emergencies

Pop-Up Sports staff are not medical professionals. In the event of injury, activity will be paused immediately and emergency services (911) should be contacted. Participants assume responsibility for medical costs. Pop-Up Sports is not responsible for medical response delays or outcomes.

8. Personal Property

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. Pop-Up Sports is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

9. Photography & Media

Pop-Up Sports may capture photographs or video during events for promotional use. By participating, individuals consent to use of images unless written notice is provided prior to participation.

10. Right to Refuse Service

Pop-Up Sports reserves the right to remove any participant for unsafe conduct, suspend activity due to environmental concerns, refuse service at its discretion, or shut down equipment if tampering occurs. No refunds will be issued for removal due to rule violations.

11. Damage & Financial Responsibility

Participants and/or Event Organizers may be held financially responsible for structural damage to inflatable enclosures, screen tears, ball tracker damage, generator misuse, electrical cable damage, or theft or missing equipment. Invoices for damages must be paid within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.

12. Acceptance of Terms

Participation in any Pop-Up Sports activity constitutes acceptance of these Rules & Regulations, the Individual Waiver and Release Form, and any signed Rental or Event Agreement. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal without refund.
